About the Shop
Two in the bush.
One scene at a time.

Ash & Ty · A cardboard set · Pittsburgh, PA · 1984

BTS of Zenroom · Onion White Stages · Chicago, IL · 2021
It started with a cardboard set. Two kids on a basement floor working with whatever resources avilible to improvise and create a scene.
Twointhebush Television Co. was founded in 2020 as a development space — a place to develop good television. comedies and grounded dramas for streamers, networks, and indie production. Pilots, pitch decks, and series bibles built from the inside out.
This is a working practice between two collaborators who stay in motion whether the industry is watching or not. Stories get broken here. Characters get built and rebuilt until they breathe. The work entertains, educates, and inspires — in whatever order the story demands.
Good TV. 'Nuff ced.

The Founders

Ashley Joyce
(Bush)
Actress, Writer & Producer
Born Ashley Joyce Bush in Pittsburgh, PA into a steel-working family, she learned early on the values of hard work, humor, and showing up for the people around you. The family relocated to Northwest Indiana — forty miles southwest of Chicago — where she found her footing in high school musical theater, community theater, and fronting the ska band Post 20.
After a stint at Purdue, Ashley moved to Chicago to pursue acting full-time, studying at The Actors Studio of Chicago and The Second City Conservatory and finishing Theatre and Psychology at DePaul. She spent a decade in the city's grassroots scene — running her own theater company, ensemble work with the Cupid Players, independent film, national campaigns for Crate & Barrel and Steak 'n Shake — and earned her Equity card touring regional houses.
Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2014, she's focused on writing and screen work, developing and performing across the Twointhebush slate — including Zen Room with Cheri Oteri and Lisa Beasley attached — and stays active with non-profits supporting human rights, arts education, animal welfare, and cultural diversity.
